5 Biblical Principles of Money Management – Spend Less than you Earn

As we dive into the 5 Biblical money management principles, we begin with the simplest, yet most difficult. To move the needle financially, we MUST spend less than we earn. We live in a culture that is constantly bombarding us with advertisements to want more and spend more. With the inflationary pressures that exist in our current economic climate, it’s become even more difficult to ignore the noise and the spending pressures that we face daily. However, scripture makes it clear that we can’t build a proper foundation if we’re spending more than we earn. Our culture hates the “B” word – BUDGET. Although the creation and tracking of a spending plan is hard work, it’s paramount to long-term financial success. Keep in mind that the creation of this habit doesn’t happen overnight. Proverbs 13:11 tells us, “Wealth won quickly dwindles away, but gathered little by little, it grows.”
